As you might have discovered, simply copying and pasting the URL from the browser does not ensure a durable link - in fact, those browser links are often temporary "session" links that are unique to your session on your computer.

If you want to share a link to a book, book chapter, article, streaming video, or any other online resource provided by EKU Libraries, you can consult our guide to linking or if you encounter any problems or have a question, please ask us so we can advise or troubleshoot your specific question.

**We thank your for testing your persistent links at the beginning of each semester**

Instructions for Creating Persistent Links (Permalinks) to Frequently Used Library Resources:

  • Articles
    • EBSCOHost Databases
    • JSTOR
    • ProQuest
    • Sage
    • ScienceDirect
  • Streaming Videos
    • Alexander Street Academic Video Online
    • Kanopy Streaming
    • New Day Digital Streaming Videos

Please visit the Guide to Linking to Online Library Resources for a full list of examples of linking to EKU Libraries' online resources.

You can also contact your library liaison for help with creating persistent links to online library resources. They'd be happy to help!
